How to install Windows10 from a USB drive - a step by step guide

Today I am going to show you one of the very useful tricks on Windows 10 installation through your external USB flash drive. This article is going to be very informative and useful to learn the steps that how you can prepare a USB flash drive and how it can be installed on your PC very easily. So do not miss any paragraph and read very carefully the complete installation steps.

Important Note : Be alert this process will delete all the Information on your hard drive so make sure you need a backup first.

  • Make sure to have a backup into your spare external hard drive. This 
  • Now before we continue we need to make sure what type of operating system you are using whether it is 64 or 32-bit so just [right-click] > [this PC] > [properties] Under system details, look whether is 64 or 32-bit in this case is ?

  • Now head over to the [Microsoft website] > [downloads section of Windows 10] > and [download tool now] (32-bit version / 64-bit version) accordingly.
  • Now this will download a tool once that tool is downloaded you will have to run that executable  set-up and click [run] 
  • Let's go further now click here [Select] > [create installation media for another PC]

  • Even though you're using it for this one and [click] > [next] > Select > [language] > [Edition] and > [Architecture] and Now [select] > [64 bit on their architecture dropdown menu] .

  • Then [click] > [next] and Here [select] > [USB flash drive] is already pre-selected now [click] > [next] it will automatically detect that USB drive (But if you didn't have it connected once connect and you need to do is refresh and it will auto detect your Removable drive), which is [Drive f has no label]. So It is already selected so [click] > [next] to start creating a windows 10 installation USB drive. Now after the completion of installation your USB flash drive is ready then [click] > [Finish].

  • Now we need to do: change the boot sequence in the bios to be able to boot from that USB drive. Now when you boot the PC, you will look for something like this F2 set up or F12 boot menu now you select boot a boot menu all you need to do is select > USB drive from the list now it should select > [setup]. Which is the bios set-up you will look for something like this now, this is an old bios yours might be a lot different now [look] for the boot section and pretending that removable drive is your USB drive. You just have to follow the instructions in the bottom to make the removable drive or USB drive the first boot device and again save the settings by following the instructions Once you save those settings the computer will now restart and it will boot from your USB flash drive from here.
  • Just follow the on-screen instructions [select] > [time] > [language] and then > [keyboard] > [next] > [install now] Instead > [add the product key] if you have it or > [skip] access > [accept the license terms]Now here you have to [select] > [Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)]

  • Now if you have previously an operating system installed system here, which served till now, as [Drive 0 partition 1 and Drive 0 partition 2] so we have to > [delete both the drives]. That's why you need a backup So make sure it's [selected] and [click] > [delete] > [Ok] to confirm [and] do the same with system reserved.

  • Now if you are installing on a brand-new drive, this is how it would look a [single unallocated space] now make sure it is selected and [click] > [next]. By clicking on next the windows will automatically format and install fresh windows 10. Note: Windows can not be installed in a non formatted drive.
  • Now this process can take a while. Now It's going to restart several times if it asks you "[to boot]" press any key to boot from USB > Do not press any key now again, enter the product key. if you don't have it so do this later and [select] > [Use Express settings].

  • Here comes Who own this PC ?then [select] > [I own it]. If it doesn't belong to any organization.
  • Now here enter your Microsoft email and password if you have one, otherwise skip this step here. Or you may [Create an account for this PC] for your local account, so use your Name, and then put a secure password with password hint accordingly. Now [click] > [next]

  • Now installing [Windows 10] from a USB drive is extremely fast It doesn't take more than five minutes to install windows from a USB drive. Now your Windows 10 is ready to use.
