So will this latest device from Samsung be able to make its place in the budget flagship segment? We have been using the S10 Lite for a long time, so let's have a look at the detailed review of the Samsung Galaxy S10 lite

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Review: Unboxing

  •          Handset
  •          25W Fast Charging
  •          USB Type-C Cable
  •          Type-C connector
  •         User manual
  •          Protective case

Samsung has not made any changes in the box here. On the front side, you can see the lite written clearly, the rest is the same as the S10. In the retail box of Galaxy S10 Lite you get:

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, as the name suggests, is quite different from other phones in this series, the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10 +. Samsung has made a slight change in the design of the S10 Lite, under which the metal side frame is seen with the glass back-panel.

Looking back, you have been given a triple camera setup in rectangular shape, which looks quite attractive to see. Support for Super Steady OIS and LED flash is also provided in the primary sensor in the phone. This setup is also a bit lifted, but it becomes one thing with the case given in the box.

Looking at the front, there is a 6.7-inch sAMOLED FHD + display. Due to the display being edge-to-edge, the front is fully visible, you do not see any game. The top just looks a little rounded, reminiscent of the recently launched S20 series with the Note 10 launched last year.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Review: display

Samsung always looks the best in terms of display. Here is a 6.7-inch FHD + sAMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and 394ppi pixel density. The Infiniti-O display is bright and gives a vibrant color and dark black color. The 90Hz refresh rate or 120Hz refresh rate is not given here, but in the case of Samsung, it doesn't matter that much. The display is HDR + certified.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Review: performance and software

You get this latest Samsung device S10 lite running on Android 10 based One UI 2.0. One UI 2.0 has proved to be Samsung's best custom skin yet. With this custom skin, Samsung has removed many duplicate applications, but the phone has more than one browser, mail app and voice assistant.

The phone features Edge Launcher, Edge Lighting, Always On Display, Navigation Gesture, built-in screen recorder and digital wellbeing. Samsung has also given Microsoft Suite here. All the software from Office Mobile to Microsoft Phones app is very well provided with software. S10 Lite has the latest January 2020 security patch. It would not be wrong to say that One UI is the best custom version of Google's Android OS.

Snapdragon 800 series chipset has been given in Samsung's latest S10 Lite, which also features that the devices will be available for sale in the Indian market as well with Snapdragon chipset. S10 Lite has Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM.

The 7nm fabrication process based chipset features Kryo 585 cores @ 1.75 Ghz as well as 3xKryo 485 cores @ 2.4Ghz and 1x Kryo485@2.8GHz cores.

The Snapdragon 855 cannot be called the latest chipset in the market of the mind, but its performance remains much better and reliable. The user experience is also very good and you do not get to see any kind of slowness.

We played a lot of games on the device like PUBG mobile, Call of DUty Mobile and Tennis Clash. In all these games, there is no chance to see any frame drop on either side and you get a very good experience

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Review: Camera Performance

In the phone, you get to see a macro lens with a wide-angle, ultra-wide angle sensor with LED flash and support of Super Steady OIS. The primary sensor phone with 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor also has 12MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro sensor.

Now you will first ask what is Super Steady OIS technology?

Simply put, this is Samsung's new image or video stabilization technology. Super Steady OIS tech is another improved upgrade version mainly of optical image stabilization as it moves the entire camera setup ie lens and sensor simultaneously. But this video only works with the primary sensor at the time of shooting, that too up to FHD resolution.

Samsung offers 12MP image output with the same pixel binning technology. The image quality looks much better in daylight in the S10 lite. Dynamic range also appears very good in good lighting. Scene-optimizer improves image output with the help of AI. Ultra-wide angle sensors give you a normal output, but there is also distortion on the edges. Lastly, there is no visible reduction in image output in good lighting with macro lenses.

Night-time photography is not much better than a phone, so there can be a significant shortcoming. Noise cancellation reduces noise to a very high extent with an increase in ISO settings in very low-light. In the result, you get a little soft image but you can upload it directly on social media.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Review: Battery

In Galaxy S10 Lite, you have also supported 25W fast charging with a large battery of 4,500mAh. In our tests, the device is able to easily backup more than one day.

With 25W fast charging, the device takes a little longer than 1 to be fully charged. Looking at the battery capacity, this charging speed cannot be called low but in this price range you get 50W fast charging support in Realme X2 Pro which is very fast.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Review: Verdict

After several days at a price of less than 40,000 thousand rupees, a good Samsung device can be seen. In Galaxy S10 Lite, some of Samsung's flagship grade features have been introduced at an affordable price, which proves to be the biggest feature of this phone.

InIn the phone, you also get to see big screen, powerful chipset, good camera performance, good software and long battery backup. If you talk about performance only, then the phone does not give you a better experience than S10 or Galaxy Note 10, which is a big thing at this price.

So should you buy Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite? So my answer would be absolutely yes. Introduced with a good software, feature and excellent camera feature, this smartphone is capable of giving a good experience to the user for a long time.

Thank for reading I hope we will Again meet in next blog, Till b-bye
