Always write on topic that are never shared on Internet before. Now you will say that how can it be possible ? Yes, it is possible. Try thinking about topics that anyone cannot think about. Before start writing any article, note down all the points that you will cover in your article. Now, research on each topic on Internet to maximize your knowledge and after you’ve collected sufficient information then start writing the article in detail.

Tip 1 : Always write original content.

 Research does not mean to copy others ideas but to maximize the content.

Reasearch well for readership

Ask your readers what they want to read on your blog. Send them personal emails or do surveys. I recommend you to go to popular blogs in your niche and analyze the post that has maximum comments. In this way you will come to know what readers really need. This is how a real high quality content is selected and written.

Engage with the readers

While reading your article, a reader should feel that you are talking to them. In this way your readers will enjoy reading your articles.

Keep an eye on length of post

Well, there is no defined length on words in a blog post but you must stop writing a blog post when you think you’ve given the required information. If you’ve a long list to share then I recommend you to divide the list into parts and start a series of posts in your blog.

Tip 2 : If you’ve a long post, read it 2-3 times, delete unnecessary information and words.

Tip 3 : If you’ve a short post, try adding a screenshot or image and your article will not look short now.

How Spam Comments Can Eat Up Your Blog’s Performance

I really hate spam comments, you know why? Because I am too lazy to spot them out and delete them one by one and they also eats up my blog performance. In my today’s article I am going to tell you the negative effects of spam comments and how they ruin the image of your blog. Lets start:

Effects your blog’s reputation

I really do not like the blogs that accepts spam comments. When I see spam comments approved on blogs I think that the webmaster lacks basic knowledge about Blogging. So, spam comments can effect your blog’s reputation to a huge extent

As told in my previous posts in Google MythBuster Series that Google keeps an eye on outgoing links, so if there are a lot of spam comment on your blog, your search engine rankings will surely go down. Let me explain this with the help of an example :

Suppose you’ve 50 spam comments in your blog linking to spam blogs. Now, when Google bots will visit your blog and if your blog is dofollow, Google bots will notice that your blog has too many outgoing spam links thus your blog is promoting spam links. Google wants to give as neat search result as possible, so it will decrease your blog rankings in search results so that Google’s users does not visit any blog that promote spam links. I hope now you understand the effects of spam comments.

Decreases visibility of genuine comments

If any article in your blog has spam comments then it will decrease the visibility of genuine comments written by genuine readers. Spam comments not only effects your blog but also effect your readers also. Most of the readers also reads comments left by others, so if your blog has a lot of spam comments, your readers might not read the comments and simply hit Ctrl+W.

How to stop spam comments

Another method to stop spam comment is to enable filling captcha(image verification) before posting any comment. If you’re on WordPress, then you can install a plugin called WP Captcha Free
To stop spam comments it is recommend to display a custom message to readers in the comment box like “Spam comments will not be accepted” or something like this. If you’re on Thesis theme you can read this article on how to display custom message to commentators.
