Design And Build Quality
Talking about the design and built quality of the phone, M30s features a 6.4 inch super AMOLED Full HD+ screen with 1080 x 2400 resolution. As for the build quality, Galaxy M30s has a plastic built quality. Though it has plastic, the phone back of the phone looks quite nice on the photos. We can’t expect too much from budget phones as it already has an AMOLED screen which is a great feature. On the front of the phone, we have a waterdrop notch which also consists of a 16 MP front-facing camera. On the back of the phone, we have a triple camera set up with a physical fingerprint scanner.
Camera
The rear camera array is mounted on a rectangular bump. There is a 48 MP wide angle camera with f/2.0 aperture, pixel size of 0.8 µm and phase-detection autofocus. There is a 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, focal length of 12mm and 123° field of view. Finally, there is a 5 MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The area in the rectangular bump not filled by the cameras and flash contains the characters "48 mega pixels". There is a night mode that increases the brightness at low light levels, while reducing noise, and a live focus mode that creates a Bokeh effect through the depth sensor. The camera supports 4K video recording at 30 fps, super-steady video, hyperlapse, slow motion video and HDR. Additionally, it features Samsung's scene optimizer technology which recognizes 20 different scenes using AI and automatically adjusts the camera settings. It has a 16 MP selfie camera located in the display notch.
Performance
As for the performance, Galaxy M30s is powered by a new 10nm Exynos 9610 chipset which is an upgrade from the previous Samsung Galaxy M30 which had Exynos 7904 (14 nm) chipset. Which means we can expect better performance from Galaxy M30s compared to Galaxy M30. Not only chipset, the CPU and GPU has also been upgraded. Samsung Galaxy M30s features Android 9.0 Pie with One UI.Like Galaxy M30, M30s is also available in two variants. I.e. 4/64 GB variant and 6/128 GB variant. You can upgrade the storage with the help of microSD card up to 1TB as it has a dedicated microSD slot.
BATTERY
The Galaxy M30s is powered by the same 6000mAh battery unit that powers the Galaxy M30. It supports 15W wired fast charging through the phone s bundled wall charging unit and USB Type-C port. Samsung calls its version of rapid charging Adaptive Fast Charging. In the connectivity department, the Galaxy M30s features dedicated dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
