1- Set a custom tone for each contact
Usually the tones that sound when you receive a message on WhatsApp are unified for all of your contacts, but the application will help you to assign a specific tone to each party. This option will help you to know who is writing to you without having to look at the smartphone screen, so you will be able to quickly answer the most important conversations.
To change the tone of a specific contact, you must first open a conversation with the person or group that you want to put a custom tone for and click on the name at the top of the screen, then press on a custom tone and choose a new tone from the list that appears. Once you have selected the ringtone, click on the "Save" feature in the upper-right corner of the screen to apply the changes. By doing so, all messages, voice notes, or files that you receive from that person will have a new voice instead of what you have selected by default for all messages.
2- Search for a message from all conversations
Sure, you sometimes searched for a message without remembering in any conversation, especially with so many one-on-one conversations that usually complicate the search. In this case, WhatsApp contains a search engine capable of searching for a specific word among all conversations and groups in the chat list.
Thanks to this feature, locating a specific message is much easier. To access this search engine, all you have to do is open the chats tab and scroll the conversations from top to bottom. As you do so, you'll see a search engine appear at the top of the buttons for message lists and create a group.
Then, you must type in the search engine the words that you need to locate and you will see all the results that you find in all the conversations and groups of your chat list. You can also search in a specific conversation, in which case you must access the conversation, click on the name and then choose "Search chat".
3- Chatting on WhatsApp from a computer or tablet device
In order to create a WhatsApp account, it is necessary to have a mobile phone number, but do you know that you can also chat from a computer or tablet device using your account?
The WhatsApp application provides a very useful web version, especially if you spend many hours in front of a computer or tablet. In this case, all you have to do is access the "https://web.whatsapp.com" address and follow the instructions that will appear on the screen. Once the session is open, you can chat more comfortably using the computer keyboard. And of course, you must have a smart phone at all times on the Internet and connected to it, because all communications will continue to flow on mobile devices.
4- Prevent photos and videos from automatically saving themselves on your phone
Using the default settings, WhatsApp automatically saves all the photos and videos that you receive from individual or group conversations into the phone's storage memory.
But that can be a problem if you receive many files at the end of the day, and you don't want to save some of them along with your photos. To prevent this from happening, all you have to do is access the “Settings - Chats” tab and deactivate the “Save to storage” option. From that moment on, the files will not be saved by themselves and you will be the one who decides what files to keep.
